Welcome To Troop 998 Web Page!

Welcome to the website of Boy Scout Troop 998, chartered in Pleasanton, CA, by the Veterans of Foreign Wars (V.F.W.) Post #6298. We have been serving the youth of Pleasanton for over 50 years, putting the Outing in Scouting, through community service, camping in the great outdoors, and allowing our youth to learn by example through the leadership of our youth. We develop responsible and capable youth through camping, adventure, learning and most importantly, through fun and friendship.

Hand-me-down Troop 998 Fleece jackets needed

Posted by emberatlis on May 23 2017 - 9:19pm

Do you have a Troop 998 green fleece jacket that you have grown out of?

We are in need of hand me down jackets as our newly joined scouts need jackets for Summer Camp & our order for their jackets is being held up as the jackets are on backorder for a few months. Unlikely they will be here before Royaneh.

Hello Troop 998,

As I announced tonight at the troop meeting, this coming Sunday is the first of my Eagle project work days and I need some help.
I am looking for help on my Eagle project this Sunday (5/7) and the following Saturday (5/13)

Q: Why should I come help you with your eagle project?
A: You help me get one step closer to becoming Eagle, receive service hours and a free dinner!
It's a win-win for you and me. I get my eagle project done and you get service hours and a free dinner.
Interested? Then read on...

Also, if you are coming, please print the waiver attached and have your parent sign it.
You will not be able to help out unless you bring the signed waiver!
We'll also have another workday on 5/13 (Saturday) from 3pm-6pm to finish up anything that we didn't finish on Sunday.
Adult help is greatly appreciated. If you want to help, please email me or signup on the troop website.
